Jean Monnet Professor in Digital Transformation and AI Policy; Jean Monnet Professor in EU Innovation Policy, Valeria is Full Professor of law at the European University of Rome. NGA to the ICN and Executive Board Member of the Academic Society for Competition Law. Co-Founder of the Italian Academy of the Internet Code and Director of ICPC- Innovation Regulation and Competition Policy Centre at the UER, she acted and acts as Independent Advisor and Expert to the EC, EUIPO, OECD and AGCOM. She currently serves as Senior Counsel and Legal Expert at the Italian Givernment Precidency of the Council of Ministers.

She has extensively published on digital economy, regulation, competition and IP. She is Co-editor of “New Legal Challenges of Big Data”, EE Int., 2020; Editor of “Competition Law Enforcement in Digital Markets”, Giappichelli Ed., 2021; Editor of “Digital Ecosystems.
